About the event

Contemporary floral design is entirely possible with seasonal Scottish-grown flowers, and this masterclass will show you how. Experienced florist, Abbi Willis, will uncover the methods of building base structures for sculptural work and guide you through how to attach stems to the water sources within. She will demonstrate how to select and arrange the right flowers to achieve bold, graphic and on-trend designs, with the opportunity for participants to practice on one of three different sculptures during the class.

Some of the Best in Season flower varieties that we will profile during this session include:

Dahlia, tagetes, sedum, amaranth & cosmos.

This Masterclass is for anyone wanting to:

  • Demystify the mechanics that go into constructing a floral sculpture

  • Understand what seasonal flowers are on offer in Scotland in September
